Method/Rules for Scheduling a Ride

You can ride on a WAVE Connector bus at any of the bus stop locations without a ride reservation.  To access the Connector bus schedule, visit https://ridethewavebus.org/maps-and-schedules/chelsea-dexter-ann-arbor-connectors/ and click the Connector route schedule you wish to view.

If you are a person with a disability needing ADA accommodations and want to request route deviations (pick up/drop off) within 3/4 quarters of a mile of a Connector route, call (734) 475-9494.

If you do not have a disability, you may still request deviations within 3/4 of a mile from the Jackson Road Connector from Thornton Farms (clubhouse) to the Parkland Plaza housing areas. Call WAVE Dispatch Monday -Friday at (734) 475-9494 for more information or to reserve route deviations.   You may also email WAVE Dispatch at wwavedispatch@comcast.net.  Due to the popularity of the route deviation program, WAVE suggests that you contact Dispatch several days in advance of your requested ride.

Operating Area

The Connectors are inter-urban express bus route that link Chelsea, Dexter, Scio Township, and Ann Arbor along the Jackson Road Corridor.  WAVE and AAATA have enhanced agency partnerships to include a transfer station at the west end of Meijer intersecting near Jackson and Zeeb roads.

  • Chelsea to Meijer & AAATA #30 Route Transfer Station: $3.00
  • Dexter to Meijer & AAATA #30 Route Transfer Station: $2.00
  • Jackson Road Corridor Travel Only: $0.50
Reduced Fare
  • Chelsea to Dexter or Dexter to Chelsea: $1.00
  • Chelsea to Meijer & AAATA #30 Route Transfer Station: $1.50
  • Dexter to Meijer & AAATA #30 Route Transfer Station: $1.00
  • Jackson Road Corridor Travel Only: No reduced fare for this route – All riders pay regular fare of $0.50

Reduced fare available for:

  • Riders 60 years of age and older
  • Passengers with disabilities
  • Students K–12 with ID

Personal care attendants (for passengers with disabilities) and children up to five years of age traveling with parents or care givers ride FREE.

Accessibility & Eligibility

Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility

This service allows route deviations within 3/4 of a mile from routes for individuals with disabilities who require door-to-door service/need to be picked up at their homes. All vehicles have a lift or ramp, have English as a Second Language communication assistance cards, hand rails, and lighting.

Seniors (60+), riders with disabilities, and K-12 students with a valid photo ID are eligible for reduced fare.  Call 734.475.9494 for more information about reduced fare eligibility or to schedule route deviations for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations.

Transit Service Accessibility

All vehicles have a lift or ramp, have English as a Second Language communication assistance cards, hand rails, and lighting. ADA accommodations include route deviations to provide door-to-door service for individuals with disabilities who need them.
