Method/Rules for Scheduling a Ride

Transit riders can call, text, email, or book their trip online by using the RouteMatch portal.

The amount of notice you must give to schedule a ride is based on the following priorities:

  • PRIORITY ONE – Wheelchairs: any wheelchair-bound person shall have top priority for the first available, lift-equipped vehicle in their area, according to modes and available schedules.
  • PRIORITY TWO – Special Reservations: services, established in advance, to serve the same passenger, with the same origin(s) and destination(s) at the same time of every weekday.
  • PRIORITY THREE – Normal Reservations: services that are reserved at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of service need.
  • PRIORITY FOUR – Demand Response Reservations: passengers who call HTC/TAT at least one (1) hour in advance of their service need.
  • PRIORITY FIVE – On Demand: passengers who call less than one (1) hour in advance of their service need. While HTC/TAT recognizes its role of providing demand-actuated, responsive, transit, “last minute” requests for service place additional burdens on resources, flexibility and HTC/TAT’s need to serve transit-dependent passengers who place requests as early as possible. Consequently, HTC/TAT will ensure that the needs of Wheelchair and Reserved Ride passengers are fully met before addressing the needs of On Demand passengers.

  • 0-3 miles: $2.00 
  • 3-10 miles: $2.50 
  • 10-15 miles: $3.50 
  • 15-20 miles: $4.50 
  • 20-25 miles: $5.00 
  • 25+ miles: $5.50 
Reduced Fare

Reduced Fare:

  • 0-3 miles: $1.00
  • 3-10 miles: $1.25
  • 10-15 miles: $1.75
  • 15-20 miles: $2.25
  • 20-25 miles: $2.50
  • 25+ miles: $2.75

Available for:

  • Seniors (60+)
  • Youth (under 18)
  • People with disabilities

Accessibility & Eligibility

Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility

There is no complementary paratransit because this is a door-to-door transportation service, not fixed route. Buses are lift equipped making them wheelchair/mobility device friendly.

Seniors/youth may show identification for reduced fare. Individuals with disabilities must complete a reduced fare application to become eligible to receive reduced fare. This application requires signature of a physician, healthcare professional, or rehabilitation professional to verify disability. This is a door-to-door transportation service and buses are lift equipped, making them wheelchair/mobility device friendly. This service is accessible to individuals with disabilities as well as open to the general public.
