PEX may provide rides outside of regular service hours. Trip fulfillment is subject to their ability to fulfill such requests.
Method/Rules for Scheduling a RideThe PEX customer service and ride scheduling call center is available to assist you from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. Reservations must be made at least 3 full business days in advance.
Call 877-214-6073 Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m., to schedule your ride. A call-back will be given one business day prior to your scheduled ride. Please be on time. Drivers may arrive up to 15 minutes before scheduled pick-up time and will wait for five minutes after scheduled pick-up time before departing.

Operating Area
PEX of Oakland County provides demand response transportation to residents of Southwest Oakland County. Clients must be residents of one of the following communities: City of South Lyon, City of Wixom, Township of Milford, Township of Commerce, Township of Lyon, Village of Milford, or Wolverine Lake.
Clients must have a pick-up or drop-off destination in Oakland County.
Driving boundary:
- Northern Boundary – M-59
- Southern Boundary – 7 mile Rd.
- Western Boundary – US23
- Eastern Boundary – Drake Rd.

Rides outside the driving boundary may also be requested but are based on PEX availability.
Fares
Standard Fare
- Trips within driving boundary: $4.00 per one-way trip
- Trips outside driving boundary: $4.00 plus an additional $2.50 per mile outside of the boundary
Reduced Fare
- Trips within driving boundary: $2.00 per one-way trip
- Trips outside driving boundary: $2.00 plus an additional $1.25 per mile outside of the boundary

Accessibility & Eligibility
Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility
This service does not have complementary paratransit because it is a curb-to-curb, demand response service, not fixed route. Most PEX buses and vans are lift-equipped and they all meet ADA requirements. Lift-equipped vehicles will be made available to those who need/request them.
Seniors 55 and older, persons with disabilities, low-income individuals, and veterans are eligible to pay a reduced/discounted fare for PEX rides. Contact PEX at 877-214-6073.
Transit Service Accessibility
This is an advanced reservation, door-to-door/curb-to-curb service. Lift or ramp equipped vehicles are available for persons with disabilities or mobility challenges who need them. PEX provides accessible transportation service that is also open to the general public.
