  • Monday to Friday: 6 AM to 9 PM  (Limited rides available 6 PM-9 PM)
  • Saturday : 6 AM to 4 PM
  • Sunday: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Method/Rules for Scheduling a Ride

Once registered you can request rides with AT LEAST 3 day advance notice, and UP TO ONE MONTH ahead for best chance of getting the times you need. No ride is guaranteed.

Cancelling a ride: Please cancel appointments no later than 6 hours prior to appointment time in order to avoid a No Show Fee. You can leave a message to cancel a ride at any time.

Operating Area

NOTA is a transportation service serving seniors, disabled, and low income residents of Addison Twp., Oxford Twp., Orion Twp., Lake Orion, Leonard, and Oxford Village, and now also serves qualifying residents of Ortonville, Brandon Twp., Clarkston, Independence Twp., and Springfield Twp. The service area covers these same areas and spans 217.3 sq miles and 135,448 residents.

Service area borders:

  • North: Davison Lake Road
  • East: Van Dyke Road
  • West: Western Border of Springfield Twp
  • South: Square Lake Road/Telegraph/M-59

Fares

Standard Fare

All rides within service area:

$2.00 each way/per stop

Reduced Fare

This service is for seniors (60 or over), persons with disabilities, and low-income individuals only. Therefore, there is no reduced fare for this service. All eligible riders pay $2.00 per one-way trip.

Accessibility & Eligibility

Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility

This service does not have complementary paratransit because it is door-to-door, origin-to-destination service, not fixed route.  Lift equipped vehicles are available to wheelchair or other mobility device users. Thirty of 31 NOTA vehicles are lift equipped.

There is no reduced fare for this service because service is limited to seniors (60 and over), individuals with disabilities, and low-income individuals only. $2.00 per one-way trip is the fare for all eligible riders.

For eligibility to ride NOTA buses, complete an online application, print and mail in an application, or request one be mailed to you by calling NOTA: (248) 693-7100

Individuals with disabilities must also complete an online professional verification form, print and mail one, or request one be mailed by calling NOTA. The professional verification requires a licensed physician’s signature.


Transit Service Accessibility

This is a door-to-door, origin-to-destination service and lift equipped vehicles are available to wheelchair or other mobility device users. This service is accessible to individuals with disabilities.
