BATA Link Service
Bay Area Transit Authority (BATA)Hours of Operation
- Monday–Friday: 6 a.m.–10:30 p.m. (limited availability after 7 p.m. in the village areas outside of Traverse City)
- Saturday-Sunday: 7 a.m.–7:30 p.m. with extended service in Traverse City until 10:30 p.m. (Rides can be requested based on availability up until 10:30 p.m.)
Method/Rules for Scheduling a Ride
BATA’s Link service is guaranteed as a next-day service and may be scheduled within one hour of the requested departure time through the Link app (preferred) or by calling 231-941-2324.

Accessibility & Eligibility
Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility
There is no complementary paratransit because this service is demand response, not fixed route. Demand response services are door-to-door or curb-to curb and all Link vehicles incorporate an accessible lift for mobility devices.. Service is accessible for riders with disabilities as well as open to the general public. BATA’s Link service is designed as a same-day service that exceeds the ADA Guidelines for the provision of transit to people with disabilities.
Seniors (60+), veterans, and active military are eligible for reduced fares by completing an application with the submission of a valid picture or military ID:

Disability reduced fare/paratransit eligibility requires the completion of an application. This application requires verification of disability by a licensed healthcare professional, case manager, or social worker:

BATA also provides service to students at a 50% reduced fare for all BATA routes for students. A valid student ID or reduced fare card is required:

BATA is also a Michigan Universal Reduced Fare Card participant.
