DDOT Fixed Route Service

Buses run 7 days a week. Hours of operation vary by route. Visit https://detroitmi.gov/departments/detroit-department-transportation/bus-schedules to view, print, or download individual route schedules.
Method/Rules for Scheduling a RideThis is fixed route transportation. Bus stop locations and route schedules are posted (do not change) and you do not need to schedule your ride. You can view route schedules or use the DDOT Trip Planner to find your stop and plan your trip (click the “plan trip” icon on the right).

DDOT operates 37 fixed routes that serve the City of Detroit, surrounding suburbs, and neighboring cities, including Highland Park and Hamtramck.

Standard Fare
Regional Dart Passes – Allow unlimited rides on DDOT and SMART buses and the QLINE streetcar.
- 4-Hour Dart Pass: $2.00
- 24-Hour Dart Pass: $5.00
- 7-Day Dart Pass: $22.00
- 31-Day Dart Pass: $70.00
DDOT Passes – Allow unlimited rides on DDOT buses.
- 7-Day DDOT Pass: $17.00
- 31-Day DDOT Pass: $50.00

Reduced Fare
Reduced fare rates are available for the following:
- Seniors (65+)
- Persons with Disabilities
- Medicare Cardholders
- Students with school IDs/DDOT Student ID Card

Accessibility & Eligibility
Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility
DDOT provides complementary paratransit for those who are unable to use fixed route transportation due to a disability. Please see DDOT paratransit for more information.
For those who are otherwise able to use fixed route transportation/get to fixed stops, all DDOT fixed route buses are lift/ramp equipped for wheelchair or other mobility device users.
Applicants who meet one or more of the following criteria are eligible for DDOT reduced fare:
- Senior: Individuals 65 years of age or older.
- Medicare card holder.*
- Individuals with a disability: Includes any injury or disability that physically
or cognitively limits mobility independence. **
* Eligible to receive the reduced fare by showing a Medicare card to the
bus operator.
** Must complete a Professional Verification Form by a health care professional.
Individuals with disabilities must complete the DDOT Reduced Fare Application which contains the DDOT Reduced Fare Card Professional Certification Form to be completed by a health care professional. Seniors need only to submit a copy of a valid photo ID with their application.
Students (grades 9-12) do not need to submit a reduced fare application, but may present their School ID to the bus operator to receive reduced fare. High school students who do not have a school-issued ID from the Detroit Public Schools Community District must purchase a DDOT Student ID Card to qualify for reduced fare. Students must bring a current report card or letter of enrollment on school letterhead to the cashier’s office located at the Rose Parks Transit Center: 360 Michigan Avenue, Detroit, MI 48226.
Transit Service Accessibility
All DDOT fixed route buses are lift/ramp equipped for wheelchair or other mobility device users. DDOT also provides complementary paratransit for those who are unable to use fixed route transportation due to a disability. Please see DDOT paratransit for more information.
