Pick up and return service at many senior housing locations to popular retail and grocery stores around Flint and Genesee County, including Walmart, Kroger, and Meijer. The locations and bus schedule can be found at https://www.mtaflint.org/senior-shopper/.

Standard Fare
Fares are the same as for MTA Fixed Route Service
Regular Fare: $1.75

Accessibility & Eligibility
Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility
Paratransit (Your Ride) is available for people who are unable to use the Flint MTA fixed route Senior Shopping service due to a disability. You must apply for ADA certification to use Your Ride paratransit service. This application asks for a health care or rehabilitation professional who is familiar with your disability’s contact information for verification purposes. You can find this application here. Fixed route/Senior Shopper buses are lift equipped and accessible for individuals with disabilities who are able to access route stops and use the fixed route system. This service also picks up at senior housing locations for the convenience of the riders.
Seniors (65+) and Medicare Cardholders may show their identification or a Medicare card to receive reduced fare.
Individuals with disabilities must complete the MTA Eligibility Card Application to be eligible for a reduced fare when using any fixed route service, including the MTA Senior Shopper service. (Please note, this is a separate application from the ADA Certification application). This application requires a portion to be filled out by a health or agency professional and additional information describing the individual’s disability to be submitted on a doctor’s script or letterhead of the agency.
