Accessibility & Eligibility
Paratransit/Reduced Fare Eligibility
TCATA Access is the complementary paratransit service for those who, because of a disability, cannot use the existing deviated fixed-route service (Blue and Red Routes). To become eligible to use paratransit services you must complete TCATA’s ADA Complementary Paratransit Application. (A Word version of the application is also available for download at https://www.mywaythere.org/paratransit.asp)
The fare for eligible paratransit riders with disabilities/seniors (60+) is already half of the standard flex Blue and Red route fare. Therefore, there is no reduced fare for this service.
Eligible riders may also want to apply for reduced fare under the Michigan Universal Reduced Fare Card Program, which qualifies riders to receive reduced fare rates for public transit in all participating counties. TCATA is a Michigan Universal Reduced Fare Card participant. The application for this program can be found here.
Transit Service Accessibility
TCATA Access is a curb-to-curb, origin-to-destination service. TCATA Access service is provided with buses equipped with wheelchair lifts.
